In general, the science of muṣtalāḥ al-Ḥadīth has been dominated by the Shāfi’ī approach and understanding of this science. However, the Ḥanābilah, who have traditionally always been people of Ḥadīth, have their own approach and choices in this science which are not commonly known – even to the Ḥanbalī student.

The course is focused on the original text Irshād al-Sābilah li-Ma’rifah Usūl al-Ḥadīth ‘inda al-Ḥanābilah, authored by shaykh Yūsuf b. Sādiq al-Ḥanbalī. In this text the author expounds on these Ḥanbalī choices and their approach in the field of Usūl al-Ḥadīth.

This course is for the Ḥanbalī student, as well as those who are interested in mustalaḥ al-ḥadīth in general, who wish to acquire this knowledge and deepen their understanding of this noble science from an authentic Ḥanbalī perspective.

This course has ended, completion is through recordings.
