One of the famous and important works penned by Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī.In this work, titled Refutation of those who do not follow the Four Madhhāhib, Ibn Rajab establishes and strengthens the position that one should rely on the four madhhāhib, following one of them in matters of religion, while at same time he effectively closes the door to any other position in this matter. It is a highly beneficial book on the topic of the defence of the madhhāhib, and should be studied by Muslims in general and the serious student of the Islamic sciences specifically. The explanation of shaykh Yūsuf bin Ṣādiq helps to make the text more accessible, clarifying certain points and elaborating more on concepts brought forth by Ibn Rajab.
